Public Sector Liaison Group
The purpose of the Interest Group is as follows:
“To advise UK National and Local Government and Industry on ITS solutions to address transport policy and strategy objectives that deliver economic benefits to UK Plc”
To achieve its mission the Group will :-
- meet as a group at least four times per year, with subcommittee or sub-group meetings in addition, where appropriate
- facilitate through ITS the implementation of national, regional & local transport strategies and plans
- interface regularly with national, regional & local Government
- promote through ITS the implementation of Government legislation and initiatives
- provide consolidated responses to national, regional & local Government consultation documents
- support the ITS (UK) Council and Interest Groups in the marketing and promotion of the benefits ITS brings to UK plc
